On April 2, 2024, Prof. Tang Shiqi, Dean of the School of International Studies, met with a delegation from the University of Tübingen led by Prof. Karla Pollmann, President of the University. The delegation also included Prof. Johannes Brachtendorf (Theology and Philosophy), Prof. Achim Mittag (Sinology), Ms. Vera Schick (Project Officer, China Centre Tübingen), and Mr. Zhang Chi (Lecturer, Department of Sinology). The meeting was also attended by Prof. Dong Zhaohua, Associate Dean of the School, and Mr. Mu Chaohui, foreign-side executive instructor of the “European Project for Chinese Language and Cultural Exchange.”

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged information about their respective research priorities and expressed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in areas such as Chinese language and cultural exchange in Europe, Sinology studies, and faculty academic exchanges.

The School of International Studies jointly implements the “European Project for Chinese Language and Cultural Exchange” together with the University of Tübingen, the Institute of Oriental Studies at the University of Würzburg, the Faculty of Arts at Aarhus University (Denmark), and the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Oslo (Norway).
