On the afternoon of December 23, 2024, a warm and joyful atmosphere filled the café of the School of International Studies (SIS), Peking University (PKU), as the school successfully hosted the Appreciation Ceremony for enterprises that contributed to the café’s public-benefit renovation project. With meticulous design and renovation, the café has been significantly upgraded, featuring improved facilities and a more comfortable environment. It is now expected to serve as an important venue for communication and intellectual exchange among faculty, students, and alumni of SIS. The event was held to express gratitude to the entrepreneurs who generously donated and contributed to the project, while also further strengthening cooperation and exchange between the school and enterprises. At the ceremony, Tang Shiqi (Dean, SIS, PKU) delivered a speech in which he extended his heartfelt gratitude to all the entrepreneurs involved in the public-benefit project. Tang emphasized that the school’s development would not be possible without the care and support of all sectors of society. He noted that the successful renovation of the café was made possible through the contributions of these entrepreneurs. He also introduced the recent progress of the school and highlighted its achievements in academic research, talent training, and international exchanges, reaffirming the school’s commitment to cultivating more outstanding professionals in the field of international relations.

Entrepreneur representatives who contributed to the renovation project also delivered remarks. They included Yan Hong (Chairman, KD Customized Home; Alumnus of SIS, PKU), Fan Shanshan (Chairman, Beijing Aris Fashion Furniture), Yao Hongpeng (Director, Der Future Technology Holding Group Co., Ltd.), Lou Yanhua (Chairman, Beijing Grammy Soft Decoration), and Huang Aihong (General Manager, Guangdong Shunde Weiyasi Lighting Technology Co., Ltd.). In their speeches, the entrepreneurs not only introduced the products they donated but also shared the philosophy and achievements of their enterprises. They emphasized that supporting the renovation of the SIS Café was both an expression of corporate social responsibility and a way of giving back to society. They also expressed their willingness to continue cooperating with SIS in the future, seeking intellectual support from the school while continuing to care for and support its development, in order to create a better learning and communication environment for its faculty and students.

They expressed sincere gratitude and reaffirmed the school’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and exchanges with enterprises in order to jointly advance the school’s endeavors.
